Once harvested, silkworm cocoons will be continuously cooked in boiling water to make the silk fibers softer and more supple. Large silk fibers are made up of many small cocoon fibers. This stage requires very skilled techniques and a high level of patience, because only by properly growing silk can we weave good silk and get a high price.
